In Texas, we knew that bluebonnets were special. So special that they are the state flower. Now that I'm in Mississippi, bluebonnets are still a little magic.
I slip cast and painted this ceramic votive holder with underglaze before the first firing. A clear, food safe glaze was applied and it was fired a second time. It is 2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
Although this piece was designed to be a votive holder, you could use it to hold toothpicks, cotton swabs, embroidary thread, paper clips, or other small objects.
